Role

Alan's role is to lead the delivery of all custom software development projects and services under the direction of Greg.  Like Adam, Alan leads the people involved in the services but remains hands on in most aspects of the team's activity, from architecture design through development to support.  One of Alan's main resposibilities is to plan each project and deliver the required software on time and to budget.

Career History

Alan’s computing career started with a 16 year stint at Norwich Union where he worked his way through a variety of Norwich Union departments providing computing services ranging from MS Office technical support to development. Alan worked up to become the development team technical lead responsible for the company's C2B and B2B authentication systems.   In 2004 Alan moved on to a development team lead position at Homeserve and then to P1 in 2006.

Interests

Out of the office Alan’s hobbies and interests are currently curtailed to DIY and spending time with his new baby son, who was born in March this year.
