P1 sits firmly in the Microsoft camp and has built an excellent team of Microsoft technology experts. Our custom development team works primarily with Visual Studio.Net and SQL Server – the majority of development projects build browser based solutions using ASP.net and C#. But we aim to keep ahead of the technological curve and so are already developing with Silverlight and .Net 3.5 framework components, taking advantage of tools such as Expression Blend. We've also built a real experitse in building on and integrating solutions with the MS Virtual Earth platform. We have Visual Studio 2008 on all of our developer desktops, which maximises productivity and the quality of the final product.
Our Infrastructure and Service Management Team works with the majority of the Microsoft Server System and has particularly in depth knowledge of Active Directory, ISA Server, Exchange Server, Live Communication Server and Virtual Server. The team also has significant experience with integrated third-party systems such as Neverfail, Marathon and Citrix. We are poised for Windows 2008 Server and ready to talk to clients now about deployment.
How do we earn Gold Certified Partner Status?
The Microsoft Partner Programme is a competency based channel. To achieve the status of Gold Certified Partner we have to earn 120 Partner Points through a combination of Competency Awards, Microsoft Certification and Licensing Sales in the mainpart. This year we've renewed with a points tally of 166.
What is a Competency Award?
Competency Awards earn us the lion's share of the points and demonstrate our proven Microsoft experience and skills in certain specialist areas. To earn each Competency Award we have to submit three relevant client project references and associate two premium-level Microsoft Certified Professionals with relevant qualifications.
Our Status in 2008
This year we hold four Competency Awards (see the Gold Partner logo at the right of the page) and have 15 Microsoft Certified Professionals. We've also submitted a total of 50 client project references since we became a Gold Certified Partner in May 2005.
